    Several sets of correspondence kept by James Deegan, associate dean and director of the Office of Assessment and Research, later the Office of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment , and his staff.

    Includes a chronological file (1972-1984; 1978-1984 is outgoing only); files with other MSU staff (1974-1978), including Academic Affairs vice-president George Ayers, learning center dean Aubrey Forest, Jean King, and Patricia Robinson; file of assessment staff outgoing correspondence (1977-1980); a reading file relating to students and consultant evaluators of specific courses (1976-1981); and correspondence and minutes of the Human Service Conference, that advised on potential courses and instructors.
